man has been A.G. since the beginning of this unfathomable change, and to boot they are all more intelligent, well spoken, accomplished and more well educated than any racist could hope to be....the racists are most enraged now because the racists at their core are swamped with jealousy.
Change is coming, the racist folks can not accept it, the ensuing rage is a gold mine of ignorant voters and an endless pasture of fleecy sheep ripe for the shearing. The perpetually bleating bastards can not hand over their earnings fast enough to the con artists that prey on them, they do it I think just to calm their shattered egos, to be racists-in-arms with the Palin's and Cruz's of the world that get it just like they get it. Good value, good for them all in this closed loop alternative reality universe, here there is good fleecing for the con artist, they all win in this symbiotic idiocy and hatery.
Never underestimate the negative power of jealousy/envy.....even our ancients spoke often of it.

(1,428 posts)They were probably discussing the Ferguson situation. It was a striking image. Two intelligent, powerful men making policy. Not one Black man in a sea of White faces. No tokenism. No window dressing. No powerless yes men like Colin Powell, Condi Rice, and Clarence Thomas who are trotted out to deflect charges of racism but are no where to be found when policy decisions are actually being made.

(23,946 posts)enough about it later to stay on the sidelines.....if one could forgive him he would be welcome in the Democrat family......if......
He was around for that bit of policy making.....fake war reasons, as was Rice, who has kept less quiet.

(1,076 posts)Thanks for this thread. I've thought for some time that there are a lot of white guys who would rather shoot themselves in the foot than recognize the benefits of good clear headed thinking. I don't get their thinking. The economic stability this President and the Democrats has brought to us, to me, is phenomenal. To me, the minority party in congress, is really the majority party. You're right those folks are having trouble with change. To me, I welcome diversity, similar to all the immigrants in other times. We must broaden the American Dream. I believe, our experiment in democracy will only be successful by expending our cultural basis.

(32,723 posts)The Latino vote too.
If Hillary runs they'll alienate women too.
They have to pretend that they can win with only the white male vote or they'll lose their base.
Add to that the fact that they threw the whole Country Western/Evangelical crowd under the bus when they ran Romney and since the black guy isn't going to be in the race the Republicans can't depend on them showing up.
Their base is now made up of the rich and the stupid with a lot of overlap there.

(23,946 posts)people.
Take the IQs of over 110 and under 90..... Who do they vote for?
Is it a question too nakedly revealing to ask?
Seems to me since ever slice of society is broken down and polled, why not his one? The closest we have is college educated versus not high school graduated....a poor substitute.

(32,723 posts)And, yes, right wing ideology and slogans and simplistic solutions are more appealing to those of lower intelligence.
However, America is the only country in the world where a bar fight can start when someone says, "Yew sound lak one o' dem college boys...."

(51,076 posts)Three times as a matter of fact. Once in the primary, twice as the candidate. I'm happy with my decision to cast those votes as I did too.
He is blazing new trails and we couldn't have picked a better more solid person for this either. It will be much easier for those of color who follow in his foot steps due to the fact that he is such a good person who could not be rattled by all the hate and racist bullshit thrown his way. Obama was the perfect person for this, he's handled it well.
I have no use for a racist bigoted asshole of any stripe.
