BREAKING. FRENCH GOVT. DISSOLVED.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/aug/25/french-government-resigns-francois-hollande-manuel-valls

The Valls govt. Was formed only five month ago following the aftermath of far right uprising in local elections.
Yesturday the Minister of Economy, wich belongs to the left wing of the Socialiste Party , criticized in a speech Hollande s failed policicy on jobs, and the general ones as beeing not enough progressive.
The sanctiln came today.
This guy was right all the way . And whats happening now is a disgraceful punishment. The heads of staye enjoy obeing to Rw pro corporatist Germain Merkel orders. And Brussels.
Plus the events will only lead to further high scores of far right votes. Thats for sure
France is actually in a political and social mess we were only supposing could happen in unstable Third World nations.
No longer

I am sad and angry today.

Wasthis in reaction to or retaliation of being criticized? Is this a reshuffling of positions or are new people to be (not sure of the term) assigned into positions? Are these representatives of the People or are they positions like in charge of transportation?

I apologize for all the questions, merci. It sounds bad, with possibility of going further right.

The government was badly shaken on Sunday by criticism over its handling of the economy by economy minister Arnaud Montebourg. Moments after Mr Valls's resignation Mr Hollande issued a statement. He asked Mr Valls to set up a new cabinet "consistent with the direction [Mr Hollande] has set for the country".

The prime minister had accused Mr Montebourg of "crossing a yellow line" after the economy minister had attacked austerity measures which he said were strangling France's growth. Mr Montebourg told a meeting of Socialists in eastern France that the time had come to put up a "just and sane resistance" to the "excessive obsessions of Germany's conservatives".

Francois Hollande is sending a clear message: that dissenters within the party will not be tolerated at this difficult economic moment. But the decision to dissolve the government is also a sign of how much is at stake for him. With unemployment running at more than 10%, growth stagnant, and polls suggesting that less than 20% of voters think he can turn the economy around, Mr Hollande is facing a difficult autumn.

His plan has been to cut spending in order to fund tax cuts for business, in the hope of boosting the economy, but there are those in his party who disagree. They want less focus on austerity, and more money funnelled direct to households. Purging the rebels is an eye-catching move, but with his popularity at an all-time low, Mr Hollande cannot afford to look weak.

On Saturday, Mr Montebourg told Le Monde newspaper that Germany was trapped in an austerity policy that it imposed across Europe". He was backed up by education minister Benoit Hamon and appeared to have the support of culture minister Aurelie Filippetti, too. Mr Hamon called on Sunday for a revival in demand and for an end to German Chancellor Angela Merkel setting Europe's direction: "You can't sell anything to the French if they don't have enough income," he said.

That will be the same for the Americans if the RWs here have anything to say about it.

Corporatism lite just doesn't cut it, not with the devastating challenges we're facing concerning unemployment, jobs creation (or lack thereof in our current Congress), outrageous discrepancies in taxation of corporations and taxation of individual workers. We need left wing populism to combat the banks, corporations and politicians who conspire with market capitalists against the average working person who has been financially bled dry in the past twenty years, imho.

The same crap of cutting money from the public and giving it away as tax cuts for big business will stimulate the economy.

IT HAS NEVER WORKED ANYWHERE but it's a RELIGION of the Right.

Saying it has never worked is treated like Heresy.

It's time to stop thinking, "what's good for Wall Street is good for the economy" because they live in a bizarro world where the price of gas falling at the pump is treated like it's BAD news.

The amazing thing about it to me is that the haters are easily led down the garden path time and again. They just don't seem to be able to see past the hate.

They are using people's fear and hatred and prejudice and greed to turn everyone against each other.

This is nothing new and the ancients warned against it time and time again by embodying these characteristics in a terrifying image that would stick in people's minds. Often the mythology speaks of this being as appearing in a pleasing manner to deceive.

Tolken even did that with Sauron.

All of that was allegorical for the evil that humans do to one another. It's a warning and a life lesson cloaked in mythology the same way as Venus was the embodiment of love.

25. Importing Blair's Third Way into France
Mon Aug 25, 2014, 10:45 AM

http://www.counterpunch.org/2012/05/01/francoise-hollande-frances-tony-blair/

When attending PS executive meetings, Hollande used to infuriate Jean-Luc Mélenchon. (The Left Front candidate in the first round of this election was a PS member until 2008). Mélenchon complained that every time Hollande was put in an awkward position, he would stop debating seriously and start making light-hearted comments or even cracking jokes to diffuse the tension. In 1999, Hollande and a PS delegation came to London to meet with Tony Blair. I was a member of Hollande’s party at the time so I was invited to join the French delegation. When we left Downing Street, Hollande matter of factly asked me whether Blair’s third way could be imported into France. I replied that anything is importable, but I warned that an attempt to bring to France Blair’s “Thatcherism with a human face” would result in the annihilation of the French left. Hollande looked bored. Before I could even finish my peroration, he put his hand on my shoulder and with a smile on his face he proceeded to tell me one of his trademark jokes.

Didn't realize this about him until now.
