Libertarianism is just watered down fascism, only made tasty by heavy doses of salt, like a Big Mac.

And being sold and packaged to the folks in exactly the same manner.

I would rather vote for President Captain Obvious than Captain Quasi-Fascist.

At least the obvious truths the mass media hides in plain sight would not be tolerated by Captain Obvious, he guarantees it.

Where are you now, Captain Obvious, a nation turns it's lying eyes to you?

"These truths we hold to be obvious" seem not to be so self evident anymore.

The number one obvious truth and self evident is the all out control of public opinion the corporate mass media is uniformly and cooperatively engaged in.

Get on it, Captain.

I wonder if there is a real threat of defection by some who may be willing to support RP over HC. At least on DU we have to constantly remind people that Libertarianism is bad for us.

Rand (the neck stompper) Paul's drivel.
This may be only my opinion of this shill swimming in a branch of the GOP.

He is a libertarian for cripes sake. His principals belong to the highest bidder.

Of course there are variations of thought among libertarians.

As I see it Mr. Paul is libertarian like Comrade Stalin was communist. A person can claim to be any political bent but their action show what they truly are...

The GOP wasn't turning America into a fascist state fast enough...so Teabaggers came along to try and finish destroying the social fabric.

and the fact that he would is just one more good reason not to allow corporate Dems to shove Hillary down our throats.

No matter how disastrous his policies would be, he can be counted upon to RUN as an antiwar, anti-surveillance state, anti-drug war platform candidate.

None of us should have to face an election in which the Republican is the antiwar, anti-spying, anti-drug war candidate, and the Democrat is on the other side.

Hell, we shouldn't have to settle for that kind of candidate no matter who is on the other side.

kind of madness has taken over if that is true?

Clinton, Sanders and Warren's open support for the actions of the IDF and Likud, and lack of support for the already negotiated two state solution is unacceptable.

I know I am not alone, just lonely.
