Ted Kennedy has been gone for 5 years -- I hadn't realized how long it has been

Here is a tweet John Kerry put up that includes a copy of an autographed photo that Kennedy gave him that shows them on the first day that they were the junior and senior Senators from Massachusetts.

I suspect many of us - though without the person experiences - also miss and love Kennedy.

But I do admire both Kennedy and Kerry. I miss Ted, too. He was the master of the righteous rant.

They seem to appear whenever there is anything on any prominent Democrat.

As to Kennedy, I remember both his series of eloquent rants as he fought for each of the amendments he was sponsoring to make the 2005 bankruptcy bill even a small amount fairer - and then seeing each and every one fail on a mostly party line vote. (It was clear that the awful bill could not be stopped - it had over 60 votes. (wikipedia on bill - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bankruptcy_Abuse_Prevention_and_Consumer_Protection_Act )
