Because there are days when we need to wonder how we got over...
My mom used to break out her Mahalia Jackson LP and play this song when she was feeling bruised by the world. By the end of this song, mom would be ready to do battle again. There have been a lot of days like this, one after another, lately. I'm not a religious person but I associate this song with healing and hope and my mother. thinking of Michael Brown's mother today and wishing for her peace and a way over.
