A Rand Paul Republican nomination would be a game changer. (Original Post) joshcryer Aug 2014 OP

I think that's the interesting question

The coming election is Hillary's. The GOPers have no one to beat her, especially not Paul

Maybe they're looking at Jeb 2020 or something

by soundbites.

And so people WILL fall for his con. And that's exactly why he's a lot more dangerous than you give him credit for.

In a rational world, in which people who vote are all politically aware, the scenario you describe would occur, with him being laughed off the national stage. But that's not the real world we live in, a world where that total buffoon, GW Bush wound up in the WH not once, but twice.

We do NOT want the Republicans fielding a faux populist at a time we're fielding a hawkish wall street candidate. That's dangerous as all heck, given the current political naivete of the electorate.

Rand Paul is a laughing stock, seriously. There is nothing credible about his candidacy.

And articulate Why they would help PEOPLE over Crony Capitalists.

We should always nominate ONLY candidates who represent the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party.

No more candidates refusing to say a harsh word about conservatives and their insane policies.

Maybe he will be nuts enough to run as a 3rd party candidate and finally split the (R)s in a serious way.

Other than that, he is irrelevant.
