CNN Airs Alleged Audio from Michael Brown Shooting
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/cnn-airs-alleged-audio-from-michael-brown-shooting/
On Monday evenings CNN Tonight, host Don Lemon debuted a recording that allegedly contains audio of the gunshots that killed 18-year-old Michael Brown earlier this month.
On August 9, police officer Darren Wilson shot Brown at least six times during an incident in Ferguson, Mo. Several witnesses claim the young man was fleeing the officer, and had his hands in the air when the fatal shot was delivered; but police officials claim Brown had violently attacked Wilson who then responded in self-defense.
An unidentified man claims to have recorded the gunfire haphazardly, it seems, as he is heard talking about unrelated matters. At least 10 gunshots can be heard in the background, with a brief pause between the first seven and the last four or so.
Before airing the audio, Lemon cautioned his audience: CNN cannot independent verify the authenticity of this tape. We have reached out to the FBI for confirmation of their interview with the Ferguson resident who says he made the recording.
CNN: FBI given audio recording of Darren Wilson allegedly firing 11 times at Michael Brown

The Federal Bureau of Investigations has obtained an audio recording that allegedly captures 18-year-old Michael Browns fatal shooting at the hends of Ferguson, Missouri police officer Darren Wilson, CNN reported on Monday.
CNN mentioned that it has not independently verified the recording, which was given to the bureau by a Ferguson resident. In the audio, the unidentified man can be heard telling someone, Youre so pretty while 11 gunshots are heard in the distance seven in one burst, then a pause, followed by four more shots.
He was in his apartment, talking to a friend on a video chat, the mans attorney, Lopa Blumenthal, told CNN. He heard loud noises and at the time, he didnt ven realize the import of what he was hearing until afterwards, and it just happened to have captured 12 seconds of what transpired outside of his building.

(7,318 posts)as good as it used to. I hear 6 shots in the first volley and four in the second. Where is the eleventh shot being heard?

(118,629 posts)I wonder if they'll be able to hear Michael ask not to be shot if they look closely at the tape. Probably not.

(7,318 posts)Voices weakened by bullets being slammed into you not so much.
Very telling, then, that we don't hear Officer Darren Dean Wilson telling him ANYTHING... Not even during the pause. Not a single" "Stop fleeing" or "Halt or I'll shoot" and certainly no "Hands up".

(21,925 posts)I'll bet the most modern crime lab can remove the man's voice from the tape and possibly the shots and enhance the sound to see if anything is being said outside. That is, if it's a legit tape.

(34,108 posts)is very possible. There's lots of stuff that can be done with that.

(21,925 posts)I wonder how they can confirm that these shots are from the time and place of the incident, if they can.

(118,629 posts)There should be ways to go back and see the time stamp on that. Or something.

(16,166 posts)could do it with Oswalds magic bullet 50 years ago, I'm sure they can do it now.

(16,166 posts)that part I believe. It was how it showed up on the gurney that amazes me. But stranger things have happened.
I was just trying to say that technology has increased to the point where the government can almost hear what we're thinking so
working with a digital sound recording should be easy.

(3,626 posts)it strikes me this is consistent with him being shot while running away, turning around, hands up, don't shoot me, gets shot some more.

(1,284 posts)She contacted CNN, not him.
She seems like a person who would not release this without due diligence.

(25,485 posts)why?
It's known that cops have been murdering black males in the country..Fuck that these poor mothers have to be burying their sons,
dilby
(2,273 posts)Cops have the ability to change their story however they please since there is no written documentation on what happened that day. They have witnesses but those witnesses are black so their testimony means nothing to the cops and this recording I am sure will be labeled as questionable by the investigation.
Even if they say the recording is in fact the shots fired by the cop the cop can just modify his story to match the recording.
