Very Sad

Over the weekend I had a conversation with a NY Police officer, and he was in total cover your brother mode, every story that we spoke about he had an excuse for the Cops Action. It was about as pointless as talking to a republican. It is scary to think that most cops think like this guy I sure hope I’m wrong.

He can put himself in other cops shows - and by seeing the similarity he excuses the actions. It's human nature to a certain extent - which is why you need to have more civilian control over police officers.

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that the phrase 'to protect and serve' applies disproportionately to the 1%. If the little people get protected or served, it's merely an afterthought.

MY FRIEND I'm sorry I just thought that maybe someone else would think that this is important. I for one am not just posting videos. Thank God that I'm not the only one who is doing something about this!
August 20 at 6:11pm • Edited • Unlike • 2

NYC COP You're not just posting videos? Cool. Are you educating people that it's not good to resist arrest? Are you educating them that by not breaking the law in the first place, they could drastically reduce the number of these situations? Cause that would be awesome if you were. Are you taking the steps to become law enforcement? This way you can conduct yourself in a manner in which you approve and therefore influence your co workers to do the same? Are you teaching that more minorities should join law enforcement themselves? Fix from within is the best way to go if you feel something needs to be fixed. Are you checking the background of the videos you post? So that you and those who view them can be better informed? I'm sure you don't agree with the sensationalism in most of these videos. A 5 second video of a situation hardly tells the whole story. I'm sure you know that and you're relaying that information to the others you're educating. I'm sure you're doing the background research and teaching others how to as well. I'm sure you are. I hope you are. Are you? We have enough negativity all around us. I hope you're attempting to be a positive influence. It doesn't appear to be the case based on your posts. But I hope there's more.

MY FRIEND Go to this wed-site and see what I am doing for my fellow man. (nehemiahhouseva.org). my issue is not with law enforcement. It’s with evil law enforcement. There are some that should not be cops. In my opinion we as a law abiding citizens should not have to be afraid of law enforcement. If these posts are getting the attention of people so be it. I see 1st hand how the homeless are treated by law enforcement and it angers me because I’m trying to help them. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Thanks for sharing.

Earl Dixon See here is my problem I hear this way too often that there are good cops and bad cops if this true the just what the fuck are the supposed good cops doing when the bad cops are you know being bad????? Stands to reason that there all bad right? Okay if a guy rapes a woman and some other dude just stands there a watches, doesn’t try to stop it or help in the eyes of the Law both men are guilty correct? So too all the good cops defenders, can you answer the question?
August 24 at 1:45pm • Like

Earl Dixon Robert the question is not for you I’m addressing Mr. Garcia
August 24 at 1:46pm • Like

NYC COP What us your question? If all cops are bad cops because a tiny percentage do bad? Are all black people bad because a percentage do bad? Are all postal workers bad because a few do bad? Are all Mexicans bad because a few do bad? Are all whites bad because a few do bad? What's your question?

Earl Dixon You seem to have missed the point, I said good and bad cops, here is the point if good cops don't do anything to stop bad cops then what makes the such good cops? Side note: This about cops not race don't try and justify your argument by add other people, stick to the cop question.
August 24 at 2:37pm • Like

NYC COP I did. So I asked for clarification. What is your question? Why don't good cops turn in bad cops? They do. All the time. I think the issue is what make a bad cop. I think we may have different definitions.

NYC COP (My point was why do you feel comfortable judging a whole group based on the actions of a few with some groups and not others.)
August 24 at 2:46pm • Like • 1

Earl Dixon So the blue line is a myth? i think the good cops know they will put their own lives in danger if they turn-in Bad cops its i no win situation
August 24 at 2:47pm • Like

Earl Dixon comfortable? this is not about comfort this is about survival, i can't afford to believe some cops are good or bad i have to assume the worst and hopeful the best
August 24 at 2:49pm • Like

NYC COP I can post article after article of cops getting arrested. Arrested by who? Other cops. You're believing a myth.

NYC COP What do you consider a bad cop?
August 24 at 2:53pm • Like

Earl Dixon You can call it a brotherhood or fraternity it's all the same they protect each other 1st, look at the 10 days in MO, demonizing the victim, cops covering for each other. This happens all over the country and it didn't just start this has being going on over a 100 years.
August 24 at 2:56pm • Like

NYC COP If anyone was demonized it was the police officer. The first few day all we heard was how much of an Angel mr Brown was. Starting college. Never would hurt a fly. How he was shot from behind. By a racist cop. For no reason. We later found out this wasn't all entirely true. Maybe you missed all of that.
August 24 at 3:00pm • Like

Earl Dixon Bad Cop: someone that commits a crime and covers his crime, hides behind his badge and his boys not to mention the injustice system, someone who betrays the public’s trust to pursue his own best interest. Cops are supposed to up hold justice not use their position to rob cheat and murder the public
August 24 at 3:01pm • Like

Earl Dixon I didn't miss anything, and even if everything you stated was true about that kid what gives the cop the right to shoot him?
August 24 at 3:03pm • Like

NYC COP What you described is a criminal. Who chose to become a police officer? They get caught and punished all the time. Not as often as you would like because in reality it doesn't happen as often as you believe it happens.
August 24 at 3:04pm • Like

Earl Dixon Oh By the way did you read the new story about the killer cops recent racist history? I suppose you’re not interested in that?
August 24 at 3:04pm • Like

NYC COP Everything I stated? I didn't state anything. I don't know what happened. The investigation is ongoing. From the little that has been reported, it appears the police officer was justified. But as the investigation proceeds, that may change.
August 24 at 3:05pm • Like

Earl Dixon All I ask is that they be held responsible for their actions, just like the rest of us is that too much to ask?
August 24 at 3:06pm • Like

NYC COP I'm interested in truth. Have there been murderous cops. Yes. It's happened. When was the last time a police officer committed murder?
August 24 at 3:07pm • Like

NYC COP They are held responsible. According to the law. Not public sentiment.

Earl Dixon You say not all cops are bad this much I can agree too, the problem is how do I know the difference?
August 24 at 3:28pm • Like

Earl Dixon well this seems pointless as you continue to turn a blind eye to every cop related story, what about the Ok trooper that raped all those women? the NY cops that choked a man to death, and the man that died by cop/security for holding a air gun in Walmart and beating an old lady on the side of the highway
August 24 at 3:39pm • Like

Earl Dixon I sure you have a defense for all of them right? I think I’m done talking to you
August 24 at 3:40pm • Like

NYC COP It appears you want to see wrong in Police Officers. No matter what. You don't want fairness. You want blood. Cops are humans. Humans who do a dangerous job on our behalf. 99.9% do great work 100% of the time. But some of you choose to focus in the .1%. Holding them up as the standard.
August 24 at 3:40pm • Like

NYC COP I'll repeat myself just for you. There are bad cops. They do bad things. They should be punished as per the law. They usually are. Nothing is perfect. If a cop is proven in a court of law to have committed a crime he should be punished according to the law. No more and no less.
August 24 at 3:42pm • Like

NYC COP Who was walking down the street and got shot? Please don't tell me Mr Brown. The investigation is ongoing. Stop rushing to judgement. I wasn't there. You weren't there. Let's see what the investigation reveals before we judge. Are you capable of that?
