An Arizona shooting instructor has died after a 9-year-old student accidentally shot him in the head.

Charles Vacca, 39, was pronounced dead on Monday, according to a press release from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. Vacca was an instructor at Bullets and Burgers, an outdoor shooting range about 25 miles away from Las Vegas, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Investigators say he was shot with an automatic Uzi around 10 a.m. Monday while teaching a 9-year-old to use the gun. When she pulled the trigger, recoil sent the weapon flying over her head.

Vacca was airlifted to a Las Vegas hospital where he died of his injuries.

The girl was at the range with her parents, according to Fox 5.

or two ago, only that child ended up killing himself. His father and the gun "expert" let him try it out, and he ended up dead.

A small child isn't strong enough to handle the forces in a weapon like that, and those so-called experts should know it!

What the hell is a 9 year old doing shooting an Uzi?!? I feel sorry for the kid, I can't begin to image how this incident will affect her.

Will DU take offence and hide it? Because for once the right person got hurt. The idiot that thought a motherfucking Uzi belonged in the hands of an 9 year old. Better him than the kid like that asshole a few years ago did with his kid.

Shame the girl will be traumatized by the foolishness of adults but that is life in these here royally-fucked up United States.

the parents should hang their heads in shame for allowing this and the "Bullets and Burgers" place should be shut down for being so irresponsible. This poor kid will probably be traumatized for life because of the stupid adults that subjected her to this.

I'm six-foot, 160 pounds, and I don't think I would have enough ass to hold down an uzi.

If someone let a 9-year old drive a backhoe, people would be screaming for child protective services. But a machine gun in full auto? meh!
