The World's Worst Carnival Game!

Courtesy of NY Civil Liberties Union.. But I suspect it is the same in every state...

What would you do if you were accused of a crime but couldn't afford an attorney?
The only shot our justice system has at being fair is if everyone gets a lawyer. That's why the "right to an attorney" is guaranteed by the Constitution.

But every day, New Yorkers too poor to afford private attorneys are destroyed by our criminal justice system. Where a rich person gets a slap on the wrist, poor people are stuck playing the world's most unfair game of chance.
The http://www.wheelofjusticeny.org/ game is based on the stories of real New Yorkers who were forced to rely on the state for so-called public "defense."

What grim fate would await YOU if you were accused of a crime and couldn't afford a lawyer? Take a spin on the Wheel of Justice and find out...
