General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI just sent a comment to Burger King corporate office. Please do that too!
I sent them an email telling them that although their French Dip is my favorite and no other fast food co. has them, I will NOOT be returning to any BK EVER! If you want to be a Canadian Company, then go get your customers from Canada.
Here's a link to their contact form.

(11,902 posts)"My husband and I visit our local Burger King about 2x a week, more if we have tight meeting schedules during the week. I just wanted to let you know that Burger King can pick up a few Canadian customers to fill the void of my husband's and my $30+ per week expenditure, because we won't be returning. Wendy's will get our business from now on."

(61,690 posts)I'm not amused by the irony of BK running this ad:

(61,690 posts)Since you will be a Canadian company, you should pay all BK store employees Canadian minimum wage as a minimum.

(21,925 posts)although i can't say I've been there too often lately. I'm running out of fast food places. I don't go to Carl's Jr. after the absolutely revolting and disgusting things their CEO said about Barack Obama on Fox News and his decision to move his corporate headquarters to Texas because he didn't want to pay California corporate taxes. And there's the dipshit right wing CEO of Papa John's Pizza and I don't go there anymore either.

(45,806 posts)if there are THOUSANDS, or if the US sales drop off significantly, I bet they'll care then!
My comments:
I've been a fan of Burger King since I was a kid, and I'm close to 50 now, but if Burger King pulls this tax scam, I can promise you that I will never set foot in one of your restaurants again.
If you want to be a Canadian company, get your customers in Canada.
Americans are fed up with users who take take take from this country and never give anything back. If you do this scam, you will lose way more in lost business than you will save on your taxes.
