Something like a $billion a year in subsidies from tax payers.
I guess they earn it by running some sort of program for employing people who beat the crap out of their spouses. But I think there may be other programs that are cheaper and more effective.

(1,074 posts)The NFl(National Football League) in organized under 501c6 as a non-profitwhich makes them tax exempt, that's not the teams themselves which enjoy many tax subsidies through their state legislatures which says nothing about the stadiums taxpayers paid for.

(29,642 posts)Any act that will be the half time show during the Super Bowl should pay the NFL ....... Should pay the NFL. Now that is just funny.... The BILLION dollar industry wants the entertainment, million dollar industry to pay the Billion dollar industry to perform at a billion dollar entertainment show. That is just hysterical, and the lowly fans that make it from week to week with the wins and losses of their favorite home team, just try to get by on their lower to minimum wage job and root for their team.
