I don't believe that any of this crap against women is about any moral ideology...although I do think that is being used as the vehicle.

I mean seriously?

The hell that is being wrought upon women is designed to make just "being a woman" sheer hell.

Take away contraception, take away abortion access, take away healthcare, take away choices...

and in the end...the result...is that you take away JOBS.

Women won't be good candidates for employment because their uterus will control their life...and it will be a reason for women to become second class citizens again.

And ultimately, men will take control of women. Again.

This is pure politics. Women are the largest segment of voters. Republicans would rather women be picking out vacuum cleaners than picking a President.

It isn't about ideology. It is about controlling the resources and assets and MILITARY of this country and women are a seen as a threat against the status quo. We are very close to electing a woman for POTUS. National priorities WILL likely change when that happens. That is what THIS is all about.

But lemme tell you something you bunch of knuckle-dragging neanderthals...I am woman, hear me ROAR!

When I was a recent college graduate in 1969, I interviewed for a job and was told, quite frankly, by the interviewer that though I am well qualified and he is confident I was capable of doing an excellent job, they didn't want to spend the time and money training me only to lose me when I got pregnant which he was SURE would happen sooner rather than later. For the record, I wasn't dating anyone seriously (or really casually either) at that time, so not married, or in a long term relationship . . . but it was the view at the time and they got away with it.

8. I was 'put in my place' last Monday by a sheriff's deputy and my ex.

I am 64 and I was robbed. "They" don't want to look at the
security camera videos because basically it's too much work

Good for the one who "married right" but too bad if you are a single mother or "other" that they dont want to provide affordable healthcare, housing or education for.....forget access for those women to contraception to prevent unwanted pregnancy (because you shouldnt as a woman have any sex for pleasure, only procreation) and prevent and make near impossible access to any abortion services and make sure you are raped with a transvaginal probe should you want one, but also prevent you from pre-natal care for the pregnancy and prevent mammograms and pap smears for breast and cervical cancer etc....

Top that off with no equal pay for any work "outside of the home" and voila, you have the view of the GOP for women's rights......And their view of women and what the role of women and "place" should be....

Its actually very obvious and simple....Control and putting us in our place....

'Personal issues' usually get trotted out by the party with no answers to the seriously pressing economic questions.

However, I think the insanity of the Talibornagains has driven the GOP party-proper's platform even further into la-la land this election cycle so they're not just giving lip service to 'morals' and 'social conservatism', they're being forced to actually get on the crazy train. I think they've gotten themselves trapped in a corner by their own spawn.

...it's necessary for the next steps...

They have been talking about all these things for decades, in think tanks, public speeches, and private conversations.

As far as I can tell, the PURPOSE of the plan, what they WANT, is suffering. No more, no less. They'll talk religion when it gets them support from fundamentalists, but don't bother when the wealthy are talking to each other.

But to assume that they're skilled enough at economics to deliberately plan to disempower all women just to get jobs for guys, and at the same time stupid enough to believe both that they will get away with it AND that it will actually provide jobs for men?

Women have lost fewer jobs in this difficult economy than men have (of course, they work for less).

So try this theory on for size:

You fire all those women, or "attrite" them as a consequence of unintended pregnancy or other issues related to reduced access to health care or child care, thanks to GOP "leadership" on these matters. You replace them with men, see? Then the men can pat themselves on the back and say that the GOP solution benefitted employment--even though it only increased it for the men (many of whom will vote for the GOP, even against their own interests).

And you can tell those menfolk that they'll get the same pay the last occupant of the job got, see?

It's an artsy-fartsy way to depress wages...!
