The GOP and fundynutzies want another world war. It will serve two purposes. It will bring out Armageddon. And it will allow us the really crank up our military industrial complex and put it on steroids. Full employment making the machinery of war.

1. Do the war profiteers grasp the concept of the end of civilization?

Doesn't do you a lot of good to make a shitload of money from making bombs if one of those bombs turns you into a crispy critter.

I think Lenin was right about this at least. Capitalism tends to be short-sighted and the MIC is the most dangerous outgrowth of that. It's like putting sellswords in charge of your military. Of course, you're going to have war if there's money it.

9. A relative told me that there will a civil war if Obama is reelected.

He is a fan of Breitbart and Limpballs. My response was to laugh in his face. Also told him glad to know where he stands as a domestic enemy. My next response was to tell him about Union General Monk how he dealt with Confederates during and after the war. I would make a personal effort to put this ass on MY list if this were come to pass.

hire as ecological changes mount, someone to hire for "protection" as environmental catastrophes reduce the human burden on THEIR/the 1%'s Earth.

Thus WWIII for a couple of goals:
- Economic security for private armies at hire for governments.
- Reduce the population burden on Earth's ecological systems.

Probably not the majority POV, but a significantly powerful one nonetheless.

10. There's some fringe nutties that believe that we need to start WWIII in order to bring about the

events in Revelations from the Bible, so that Jesus would come back.

Of course, every Reputurer to whom I have ever mentioned this knew nothing about the inventor of their concept of the Rapture. They actually thought it was in their Holy Bible though they had to admit that they had never been able to find that particular passage.

but I think that the rank and file membership of the right wing, the normal working people, yearn for it for another reason. America is broken, horribly, and they want to believe in her again. That's what I think, anyway. Plus maybe bring Jesus back, lol.
