Match the name with what percentage of their income candidates made to charitable organizations.
Just post your answers with a letter and number.
A. 1%
B. 2%
C. 22%
In alphabetical order:
1. Obama
2. Romney
3. Santorum
Example: if you think Santorum contributed 22% of his income, your answer would be "C-3".
Got it?
OK.
(Note: I don't know if this is gross or taxable income, but that really doesn't matter.)
Oh yeah, this is according to IRS filings.

(54,256 posts)Sorry.
1 out of 3 is like 33.sumthin percent! I should at least get one of those little plastic toy thingies.
one would hope it would match ability to give (e.g. the multimillionaire has more money to live on and thus can give more) but am skeptical.
Have read that Santorum's giving record is very scant.

A guess?
Or did you see the same on MSNBC?
Though read something earlier this year about Santorum's giving (which cued to the 1%). Figured it wouldn't be much of a story if Romney gave a lot (as he earns so much that the family has a lot of spare money after expenses) - and most progressives that I know (even with far lower incomes) give far more than 1-2%.
What do I win, friend?
Don't care about the other small givers.

Mitt hits a bit shy of the mark.
Hell, in the general election, he may LOSE Utah if this gets out.

(2,515 posts)But his 19% for this year is only an estimate he gave since his records have not been officially released.

Great soundbite though.

(2,515 posts)Which has Obama at the exact 22%, but, again, Romney nowhere near 1-2% - but at 19% - you may have confused Romney's low number with Biden's low number, which has been in the news recently -
