Charitable giving by presidential candidates: A quiz

Match the name with what percentage of their income candidates made to charitable organizations.

Just post your answers with a letter and number.

A. 1%
B. 2%
C. 22%

In alphabetical order:
1. Obama
2. Romney
3. Santorum

Example: if you think Santorum contributed 22% of his income, your answer would be "C-3".
Got it?
OK.

(Note: I don't know if this is gross or taxable income, but that really doesn't matter.)
Oh yeah, this is according to IRS filings.

one would hope it would match ability to give (e.g. the multimillionaire has more money to live on and thus can give more) but am skeptical.

Have read that Santorum's giving record is very scant.

a-3
b-2
c-1

Though read something earlier this year about Santorum's giving (which cued to the 1%). Figured it wouldn't be much of a story if Romney gave a lot (as he earns so much that the family has a lot of spare money after expenses) - and most progressives that I know (even with far lower incomes) give far more than 1-2%.

What do I win, friend?

And I didn't even get superfluous royalties on some book I didn't write. Pikers all.

I guess the LDS church isn't considered a charitable organization.

That Mormons are required to 'tithe'.
Mitt hits a bit shy of the mark.
Hell, in the general election, he may LOSE Utah if this gets out.

I am thinking the LDS church isn't considered a real charity.

But his 19% for this year is only an estimate he gave since his records have not been officially released.

Which has Obama at the exact 22%, but, again, Romney nowhere near 1-2% - but at 19% - you may have confused Romney's low number with Biden's low number, which has been in the news recently -
