There is ZERO way that Romney will be the Republican nominee for President
I know that any speculation about 2016 is silly stuff. (Yes, even my sig.) But every time I see speculation about Romney, my eyeballs spontaneously roll uncomfortably in their sockets. It hurts. Please stop.
By the time he was done in 2012, Romney had power-mooned 47% of Americans by calling them worthless leeches, and was widely reviled by Republicans. I know one of his higher-up campaign people, and even he'd grown to dislike the fellow (but likes Elizabeth Warren's proposals, even if he's still leery of Warren herself). Not going to happen.

2. We're talking about Republicans
The common clay of the land. You know, morons.
![]() If Hillary doesn't have the Senate and Congress she needs, we're screwed even if she does win. The Clinton's should be out there more to get more people out to vote if they expect to win in 2016. |

5. I absolutely agree
He bears the big letter "L" on his forehead, not even establishment Republicons want to see him as the nominee again. They'd rather hang that letter on the tea party, and will not stand in Rand Paul's way of being the Repuke to lose to Hillary.

6. And his tax returns will come back to haunt him.
When I work a year, I pay taxes on that year and BOOM it's over. Maybe I put some money in a 401K, but basically that year is done, archived, over. I give you that return and you know all about my income that there is to know: no surprises down the road.
But people like Romney have all these deals going where their money is taxable at this year or not until some time down the road. Or some company is continuing to pay him though he is no longer with the company. So one year's return is truly uninformative for the voters. So for Romney revealing one year's tax return tells me less information about his wealth, income, taxes, than if I gave you one pay stub. |
