You might have to unsubscribe 435 times.

One thing is for certain, I'll never EVER contribute to ANY DCCC fundraising thing again because of the emails. Had a single unsubscribe fixed it, I might have reconsidered, but the rude constant emails ended any possibility of me EVER donating to DCCC again (In 2012 I gave a couple hundred bucks over a couple of months).

shock when I look on Act Blue and see how much I've given. Here is what REALLY bugs me. I get super fed up with a country that calls itself democratic and all, and then we have stupid things like Citizens United, and bought/bribed politicians. That, is not a democracy. We MUST get this money out of politics, but I have no idea how that will be accomplished.

Most of them have apocalyptic captions and involve desperate pleas suggesting that if I don't donate immediately, western civilization will collapse and it will be all my fault. It's all just turned into white noise and is not motivating me in the slightest to open my checkbook. Now it's just as annoying as the Nigerian scam emails and manhood enhancement spam.

Although Al Franken's campaign sent a pretty good one the other day captioned "INVASION FROM PLANET ZYRKTOR!"

EMERGENCY -- EMERGENCY -- EMERGENCY

APOCALYPTIC FUNDRAISING EMAIL WARNING!

Sick and tired of emails that make it sound like, without your $5 contribution, aliens from the planet Zyrktor will surely enslave all of humanity and force us to work in their underground salt mines?

Me, too. So I’ll level with you. There’s no alien invasion. The world won’t come to an end if you delete this email.

It went on to ask for money. But at least it was a bit clever.

Many of them sounded like dunning notices and inferred I had bad credit with the party. They begged, scolded and tried to embarrass me for not contributing more. It has been this way for months and I just got sick enough of it that I bulled and decided not to donate more.

What I will do, instead, is make sure all my family and friends make it to the polls or vote early. That's a bunch and worth much more than the few dollars I would have given. I realize the importance of this election, so don't yell at me for failing to donate dollars I need for my own survival. The Koch bros. have made a mockery out of our elections and I don't want to participate in seeing who can win the money game.

That's OK, neither as far as I can tell does my Democratic Candidate does not exist either--except on Facebook where there are pictures of him. Seems like a nice, smiley guy. He's not a Republican. I'll vote for him.
