Help. I don't know where to find the "sarcasm" emoticon

You'd think that after 12 years of using a pc I'd know this. I also don't know how to copy and paste a photo. I'm really smart (honest). But all too often I miss the "how to" basics of life. Sigh.

All emoticons should be there. Copy and paste should be on the top right of your browser, I think, lol! I use Chrome and I just click on the three lines to the far right.

That works unless the image is protected. I think there is a way around that, but I don't know how to go there.

You have to have a URL to post for the image to show. If it's on your device and not on the web you can to use an image hosting site such as Photobucket or ImageShack to host it to get a URL to use. You simply create an account with an image hosting site, then upload the image to your account. This then provides you with a URL which would work here.

If it's on the web try right clicking and then select "copy image location" then see if that gives you URL which will become an image when you preview it here in your post.

The alternative is to save a copy to your device and then upload it to a image hosting site such as ImageShack, which then provides you with a URL to use elsewhere.

Is that a pic of President Carter? if so you might think of removing it or at least attempting to emulate his manner.

I can show here literally what is typed in to get the sarcasm image (and it isn't getting translated here).

:sarcasm: (gives you the sarcasm image)

The way you get this to show this way is by putting the following in your post (I've "double" encoded this to have it show properly).

:sarcasm: (gives you the text I just showed above that shows the syntax)

- and watch what happens if you edit a post like this, as it will translate your text for you...
