(10,650 posts)But, there are plenty of racists who don't believe they are racists. They are usually called republicans.

(31,849 posts)They call themselves liberals and/or Progressives. Sadly, Republicans/conservatives don't have a lock on racism, unrealized or otherwise.

(25,699 posts)They said theres a racial element to it, and I disagreed to be honest with you, but I did it anyway because thats what they were asking for, Holbert said, adding that he regretted not calling The Herald to let them know about the syndicates objection.
And then I just shook my head at this guy. I can't conclude that the artist is himself a racist, from this. Rather he just seems like someone who is utterly and completely tone-deaf on the subject. None of his other work that I can find carries a racial element.
Moment of derp, perhaps?

(7,720 posts)show President Obama brushing his teeth with watermelon flavored toothpaste (apparently there is such a thing). It showed the fence jumper asking the president if he has ever tried using watermelon flavored toothpaste. I don't know if there was a racist intent with this cartoon or not, but it does show stupidity on all of the people responsible for allowing this cartoon to see the light of day.
