It will explain much about why humans did what they did and do what they do on a whole raft of issues; how we're all interconnected, how life has evolved to take advantage of new environmental systems, the vital pursuit of energy in one form or another, the critical importance of trade in turning cities into civilizations, the rise of slavery in the Western Hemisphere, the rotating roles of global influence, and too many other dynamics to list.
Make no mistake about it though, we are children of the stars.

I don't look like a Klingon so I can fit in with humans. Plastic surgery was a bitch but my pod-minders explained that the experience of pain is the apex of a warrior's life, so put up with it.
