LINCOLN — A Lincoln financial adviser and Tea Party activist has lost his federal lawsuit against Nebraska banking officials.

U.S. District Judge John Gerrard dismissed the lawsuit in a Tuesday ruling, saying that Bob Bennie had not proved his case.

But Bennie said Wednesday the court “basically saw things our way” on his claims that the officials had retaliated against him because of his political views.

He demanded that Gov. Dave Heineman fire the two officials named in the suit who still work for the department. A third official, former Banking Director Roger Munn, has retired.
