Were you aware that October is LGBT History month?

How much gay history do you know? (no peeking in the LGBT group)

Without looking it up, do you know:

What are the Daughters of Bilitis?

Who is Harry Hay?

How many states can still legally discriminate against LGBT people in housing and employment?

What is the significance of Lawrence v. Texas?

Where is Lesbos?

Who is Christine Jorgensen?

Why are pride marches held (mostly) in June?

I didn't know October was LGBT history awareness month. I know who Christine Jorgensen is, she became the first transgendered person in the US. And I'm guessing June is pride month for Stonewall, and the weather is usually fabulous.

I know Lesbos is a Greek Island. Christine Jorgensen; first transgender in US. I will only take a stab at parade in June for the weather.

The rest I will need some help with, BtA.

Without looking it up, do you know:

What are the Daughters of Bilitis?

The first lesbian rights activists in the US.

Who is Harry Hay?

Founder of the Mettachine Society.

What is the significance of Lawrence v. Texas?

Struck down sodomy laws nationwide.

Where is Lesbos?

Greece; specifically, the Aegean Sea.

Who is Christine Jorgensen?

First trans* woman in the US.

Why are pride marches held (mostly) in June?

To commemorate the anniversary of Stonewall (June 28, I think)
