BREAKING: shocking images have emerged that show the reality of what dumping in the Great Barrier Reef’s World Heritage waters looks like. It’s a shocking reminder of what we’re fighting for.

These photos were taken just last week in Cairns and show a dredge ship spewing muddy waste into the World Heritage Area. Maintenance dredging is a necessary activity at big existing ports like Cairns - but simply dumping the dredge waste in the Reef’s waters is not.
