Here is the text version.

Dear Friends,

We’re taking the Amendment 2 “For the Patients” bus on the road next week, and we want to make sure you have all the details so you can come out and show your support for compassionate care in Florida!

There will be two events in each city – one at a local university to rally and get out the vote, and a Town Hall to answer questions from the community. Food and refreshments will be served, and you’ll get to hear from senior members of the Yes On 2 campaign, as well as patients, physicians, and caregivers.

Details of all locations and times are listed below. You can RSVP by clicking on the individual events which will link you to the Facebook event pages. This is a great way to invite your family and friends! You may also send an email to the event organizers. View the full statewide flyer here.

I am an undecided on #2. My problem is that I never touched the stuff so I really don't know if it is good for us or not. So many times they say, but the health benefits are great only to find out they lied. First cigarettes, eggs, milk, meat, carbs, alcohol, wine, this pill or that. If we really hear what health benefits smoking pot does and what dangers it imposes, they may get some undecideds.

It can be used to treat Glaucoma.

It may help reverse the carcinogenic effects of tobacco and improve lung health.

It can help control epileptic seizures.

It also decreases the symptoms of a severe seizure disorder known as Dravet's Syndrome.

A chemical found in marijuana may stop cancer from spreading.

It may decrease anxiety.

THC may slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease.

The drug eases the pain of multiple sclerosis.

...Weed reduces some of the awful pain and nausea from chemo, and stimulates appetite.

Marijuana helps veterans suffering from PTSD. (Has been approved for this use in some states already)

There is a lot more at the link.

It's part of the too intense "war on drugs" that is hurting a lot of people. It's carrying over to doctors now, who are being told what they can prescribe. Before my husband died he suffered much unnecessary pain. Once hospice is part of things, it does get better....but until then it's pretty bad. Now Medicare has so many rules for doctors that a patient can be taken off a med that is working well just because they turn a certain age.

The doctors are terrified of the federal govt rules, and they will not break them even if it is best for their patient.
