Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsIts nothing but "crap" the whole thing.. the Obama administration
We have been around this bend so often, I am getting dizzy..
No matter what happens.. the Tea Party, Fox fueled, Right Wing Libertarians, off the wall republicans,.. etc etc etc.. can only respond in one way.. its all CRAP!
Today was another one of those days..
Good economic news on a broad spectrum..the things we want..even good paying jobs opening up again and not just get by jobs..
What do we hear.. its nothing but crap from that side..
I have come to this conclusion:
I as a Democrat could offer a group cheesecake.. and that side would yell its crap!!
Every one can see its cheesecake..people come forward..
But they start the chant again, its crap, all crap..
Even people who can see this is actually cheesecake..the box it came in.. the receipt.. start to step back.
They know its a lie..but the continual chant of crap crap crap starts to leave its mark.
People literally lose their appetite .. and step away
And the liars win.. again and again..
This is just an example of how their side works.. and how it wins..
Time to push back on this nonsense

(1,555 posts)However, we can stop any and all future lies if we all start here and now.
So, you know that stupid (in my opinion) homeland security quote: "If you see something, say something"?
Implement it toward perpetuated lies.
We can call out every fabrication, half-truth, slippery slope, little white-lie, etc. for what they are.
Distractions, diversions and derailments from issues that matter.
So, the challenge is this: If you see something, say something!

(53,764 posts)It has been several decades that most households have had to have both husband and wife working full-time to maintain a middle class lifestyle.
That is nothing new and didn't start with Obama.
Ever heard of Reagan busting PATCO, the air traffic controllers union?
That started the decline of unionism (which played a huge part in creating the middle class) and began the failed trickle-down economic policies and the slow, decades long decline of the US economy, save for the booming Clinton years.

(18,998 posts)I know all about that...saw it happen and saw our political leaders roll over for it all.

But I suppose it is who you hang with...if you have a portfolio and a 401k for your retirement I am not talking about you.
And I am not blaming it on Obama...but he has done little to change it, just as all of them have done...and I voted for change.

and then putting in place trickle-down policies a failed economic system that has been in place ever since except for the robust Clinton years. And if you doubt that trickle-down has killed our economy over time, just look at the dire straits Kansas is in right now with Brownback's failed trickle-down experiment.
And even with Obama in the White House repug obstructionism has reigned.
Want evidence of that other than government shutdowns, no jobs bills from "Jobs, jobs, jobs spouting Boehner and all the jobs shipped overseas by Romney and others like him, remember this:
"On January 20, 2009, the night when the Obama's were attending inaugural balls and most Americans were out celebrating the end of the Bush years, a group of powerful Republicans was planning the end of Obama presidency before it even got going.
At the Caucus Room restaurant right here in Washington, DC - GOP leaders drew up a plan to intentionally sabotage Obama at every point possible. The whole thing was orchestrated by Republican propaganda mastermind Frank Luntz and over the course of four hours, a group of the most powerful conservative lawmakers in the country committed to a plan of action.
They promised each other that they would filibuster and obstruct any and all legislation supported by the new President, Barack Obama. They would do everything possible, for as long as it took, to make his a "failed presidency." On the guest list for this invitation only meeting were Republican Senators like Jim DeMint, Jon Kyl, Tom Coburn, John Ensign and Bob Corker. Also in attendance were Congressmen Paul Ryan, Pete Sessions, Jeb Hensarling, Pete Hoekstra, Dan Lungren and - you guessed it - Eric Cantor and Kevin McCarthy."
- See more at: http://www.thomhartmann.com/blog/2014/06/caucus-room-conspiracy-alive-and-well#sthash.Saek4qMB.dpuf
So you see, there once was time one worker could support a family but Republicans set out to change that 40 years ago and we have the results now. Just think if they had actually worked to help the country instead of helping the one-percenters make more and more money while at the same time trying to destroy Clinton and Obama.

(34,857 posts)If that was the case, the U.S. would've slipped even further into a recession and the homeless rate would've doubled or tripled or even quadrupled since Obama came into office. While growth has been stagnant, wages today are higher than the mid-00s - right before the recession:
Total employed people has finally climbed out of the recession hole:
And clearly, the numbers are on the rise - and have been since Obama became president.
As for the labor participation rate - we're dealing with nominal changes over the course of the last 10 years.
In 2004, it was 66%. Today, it's 63%. A three-percent difference coming out of the worst recession in modern history.

The killing of the intellectuals and using child soldiers.. same plan different country..

(2,941 posts)Have you seen the human rights abuses in India? Especially towards women? Yet somehow I never hear a single objection from conservative extremists in Hillary's camp to the policy of sending millions of US jobs there. Or do you think she's planning to attack India when elected?
As significantly, the number of American workers who are on the job-market sidelines is a full 2 percentage points above its pre-recession levels.
Thats a worrying state of affairs and may help explain why job growth continues to chug along, unemployment falls, and yet Americans are barely making any more money.

(2,941 posts)yet you and your closeted republican ilk remain silent on the human rights abuses of this administration and past administrations. For example - jobs to India and China. Where is your outrage? India is ranked in top 5 or 6 places in the world that are the worst for women - that means they are abused and slaughtered.
It is doubtful that ISIS will ever kill as many innocent men, women and children as the US killed during our time in Iraq and Afghanistan, estimated to be well over 100,000.
Yet here you are with your "Damn you GREEEENWALD!!!!!!"
It's time for you to take responsibility for your own misguided actions and stop blaming patriots like Snowden and Greenwald.

(24,544 posts)The ENTIRE POINT of this OP is how there are people that are willing to lie to spew the "everything the Obama admin does is crap" line. You need to actually read the OP that you have decided to hurl yourself Ass First into.
Where did I say anything about Greenwald not caring about human rights? If you are going to chase people around and start shit for absolutely no reason, you could at least have the decency to start shit about things they ACTUALLY SAID.
In addition to the many things mentioned in the OP, I contributed the recent story about Greenwald's uncorroborated stories that the Obama admin lied about how big of a threat ISIL was and that they manufactured Khorasan Group. The Reuters article states that the UN has gathered a list of ISIL's "staggering" human rights violations and is trying to garner even MORE support to stop ISIL proves that Greenwald's story was not true.
Now, I understand why that would confuse you and other blinded Libertarian Greenwald supporters. But your attempts to high jack the thread with your completely irrelevant comments about India and now about the war in Iraq are not only pointless but just simply beyond moronic. You need to take responsibility for the fact that you didn't read the OP, are pulling issues out of your behind in order to support Greenwald (oh, how the quality of his supporters speaks VOLUMES about the man) and are attacking me and doing nothing but making yourself look desperate in the process. And doing NONE of this well, might I add.

First goal is to get corporate money out of politics and government so that1) the two corporate parties stop working aggressively on behalf of corporate interests and against the interests of the people
and
2) they start pouring resources into actual help for the 99 percent instead of into relentless advertising to put lipstick on this pig of a corporate agenda: protection of criminal banks, corporate schools, Monsanto, drilling, nukes, wars of choice, austerity, TPP, TISA, etc, etc., etc. ad nauseum.
