J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. revealed today that the breach of its computer systems was far more extensive than previously disclosed. ABC News reports JPMorgan Says Data Breach Affected 76 Million Households.
But we cannot break up to-big-to-fail banks... cause, um, reasons.

(60,010 posts)1. And JP has no intention of contacting the customers involved.
J.P. Morgan Chase JPM, +2.48% won't notify those customers who have been affected by its summer security breach -- estimated to be two-thirds of U.S. households -- that their personal information was exposed, a spokesperson for the bank told MarketWatch.
When asked why, the spokesperson said, "That's just what we're doing."

Though I have admit, I only learned about it recently.
I wonder if this is being downplayed or simply not reported?
