immunity for torture/corporate crime, fracking, Israel's ruthless violence against occupied civilians, outsourcing millions of US jobs to countries abusive to men, women, children, increasing health care/education costs, declining wages and dependance on corporations for legislative authority to be considered a serious Democratic presidential candidate?
Isn't opposition to this injustice and inequality a defining quality of a Democratic voter?

(306 posts)I will never forget the abuse of our Constitution
by our elected officials and this means Republicans
and DINO's (way too many DINO's). They will never
live it down.

(18,998 posts)And the democratic party was sold at auction a while back.
But they retain some of the lip service to keep you confused, but when they act they do so with an eye to what the owners want.

(5,610 posts)2 political parties, infused with unlimited corporate money can truly represent a population of over 300 million Americans is absurd.
I have been an FDR Democrat all of my life, sadly that party no longer actually exists. The diversity of viable political parties in the 30s-50s meant the dissemination of, and the choice of, many philosophies. The actions of the 2 current "viable" parties sadly reflect the corporate, not individual, views and desires.
IMO, either we retake our Democratic (peoples) party (a herculean task) or, we the people, through our support, create a new peoples party, with politicians like Sanders and Warren who have proven to put people first.
We must be represented well or continue to suffer the economic, perpetual war, etc.. desires of the corporate elite and the continued wealth inequality and individuality destruction that this causes.
