KAMPALA A man has died in Uganda's capital after an outbreak of Marburg, a highly infectious hemorrhagic fever similar to Ebola, authorities said on Sunday, adding that a total of 80 people who came into contact with him were quarantined.

(146,116 posts)illnesses. Marburg has also shown up in the US. In each case, no subsequent cases occurred. I'm hopeful that will be the case with the Dallas Ebola case as well.
Minnesota is always watching for West African disease origins, due to our large population of immigrants from that region.

West Africa failed at it with Ebola due to all the wars and turmoil.
