Michigan State fans boo anti-rape PSA shown at football game...because of Obama

There's this story going around sports forums and right wing media that Michigan State's student section booed a public service announcement shown on the video board during Saturday's Michigan State vs. Nebraska football game. Why? Because the PSA was part of the White House's "It's on Us" campaign against rape - and had President Obama speaking at the end.

MSU's information article about its participation is here, and the video shown at the game is below:

What a classy bunch of young people at MSU. I wonder how many of them have preyed on drunken women and will never understand what consent is, because their right to f*** outweighs any modicum of human decency.

appears to be stuck in the dark ages. In these times of people blaming the victim and railing against so-called "political correctness", they've probably been taught all their lives to be backwards. Even as a man, I'm disgusted by the reactions of those students.

50 years ago, standing up against "The Man" = joining the Civil Rights Movement or other progressive causes, for equality.

Fast forward, now it seems that being an apologist for bigotry and narcissism is what young people see as rebelling against authority, because authority is Too Politically Correct(TM). I guess there's a reason why Ayn Rand has gained a cult following among a generation born a century after her.
