But....then again....obsessing is what's going to be needed to get out the necessary vote. Complacency is what's cost us in the past.

3. Only the individual races matter

If we "win" overall and lose most of the close races, it is a loss. Conversely, we can "lose" overall and if we win enough of the close races and retain the Senate it will be better than many expected. The House seems sufficiently gerrymanded to prevent us winning other than if there is a wave for us - which is not likely. (I would be extremely happy if I am too pessimistic here.)

where it takes almost 2 democratic votes to counter one repub vote and win. An I am "represented" by congress critter Yoho the Yahoo who told the NYT that shutting down the government was a good thing. This is in the courts because of grassroots citizens action but not for this November.
