He's one of my three Tea Party siblings.
I assume I was dropped on my head as a child, 'cause I grew up liberal.

I bookmarked something from July of 2010

They have so embraced this hate..that the only thing they can relate to is the negative that will keep the fire in that hatred fueled.. Facts make things worse for them..

Maybe not. Recently, a few political scientists have begun to discover a human tendency deeply discouraging to anyone with faith in the power of information. It’s this: Facts don’t necessarily have the power to change our minds. In fact, quite the opposite. In a series of studies in 2005 and 2006, researchers at the University of Michigan found that when misinformed people, particularly political partisans, were exposed to corrected facts in news stories, they rarely changed their minds. In fact, they often became even more strongly set in their beliefs. Facts, they found, were not curing misinformation. Like an underpowered antibiotic, facts could actually make misinformation even stronger. -

Hate is blind, but so is love.

Reality, truth is somewhere in between.

Obama is wonderful in many respects. But he is not perfect. His appointments of Geithner, Bernanke and Holder were terrible mistakes for which the country has yet to pay.

But then, he is one of the kindest, dearest presidents of our time.

Without question, as a human being, Obama is perhaps our greatest president only maybe surpassed by Abraham Lincoln. But he is not perfect. His handling of our banking crisis left the root problems yet to be resolved.

And the lack of respect that so many show him is due to this uneasy feeling that somehow in that one area, he succumbed to the corruption that is destroying America.

The tragic flaw in the hero that Obama is.

Out promoting his latest "How-To" screed on stabbing your boss in the back. Find it in the "Thanks, Pal" section at your local bookseller...
