Peter LaBarbera calls for civil disobedience re: marriage equality

http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/peter-labarbera-vows-massive-civil-disobedience-block-gay-marriages

This should be funny. Peter LaBarbera, from something called Americans for the Truth About Homosexuality, says he will call for 'massive civil disobedience' in light of the Supreme Court's refusal to rule on several marriage equality cases.

This should make for a 'march' with not enough people to stage a picnic, some hilariously bad protest signs and a few people looking very dejected in the C-Span coverage.

4. I'm not gay, but I plan on getting a gun and forcing guys like this to marry men.

I mean.....I might as well help him with his fears. Why let him stew, waiting for the inevitable Gay person to come along and force him to marry same sex?

If LaBarbera is worried that this decision equates to living under tyranny, I think he needs some help.

And I'm willing to provide it, cause that's the kind of guy I am.

It boils down to "I'm not getting my way anymore!"

People like this dirtbag have gotten their way for...well...centuries now, and they are finally experiencing pushback and they don't like it one bit.

Not one single bit.

I actually expect things to get much worse before they get better. Christians like this man will not just allow others to do as they please, or to simply leave people alone. It is paramount that the Christian motif continue, as far as they are concerned and allowing things like Marriage Equality and more secularism in government to move forward are just completely unpalatable.

9. Yep. And their doom-and-gloom predictions won't come true, making them into fools.

It's a lot easier to scare money out of the flock over what could happen. Once nothing happens, what's left to scare them?

10. Well, they've got the guilt thing down pat!

Guilt is a strong motivator. Couple that with fear of the unknown/unknowable and you have the formula that has worked for Christendom for centuries.

and since he has spent decades living off the forced oppression of other Americans, the eroding value of his "career" leaves little room for advancement. How, exactly, do you put a positive spin on your resume of a history of this activity?

Or people acting like clowns at the clerk of the court's office when gay couples go to get marriage licenses.

Something like that.

He's probably only going to get 12 people and some lawn chairs, as usual.
