How long until the IS ground war? What role will US troops play?

We already have combat troops now flying Apache combat missions. The division headquarters is set up in two locations in Iraq. 1,600 US troops in Iraq, thousands participating from air and sea.

The next phase of the war is about to begin. The ground war. The only question is what will the US role be? How long will the administration cling to the artificial distinction of "no combat troops on the ground?"

Any guesses? Predictions?

so I still hold out hope it won't happen. We have to keep our involvement limited. I really don't know what the hell is going to happen. This is a fucked up situation and the Middle East, as a region, needs to take it a little more seriously.
