Here is some mail on how to get involved in the election.

Dear MoveOn member,

If we can get enough Voters In, we can get Big Money Out.

That's the winning proposition I'm backing for Election Day. And I've teamed up with MoveOn's Voters Rising team to ask for your help.

I'm a pretty plainspoken guy, so I'm going to lay out the stakes for you: We could lose on November 4, and the fat cats in Washington, D.C., who want big money to stay in politics could do even more damage to our country.

Right now, corporations and wealthy donors out for just themselves are forking over big bucks to congressional races because they view it as an investment. They know if they get the right guy or gal elected, it will pay off big in government contracts, tax loopholes, elimination of safeguards, and other cushy perks.

Unless we act now, we could wake up on November 5 with a government that's even more of the billionaires, by the billionaires, and for the billionaires.

So MoveOn is fighting back with sheer people power—working to get progressive voters in key states to the polls on November 4.

MoveOn members have an ambitious goal of making 300,000 calls this week—and you can help by signing up today to make calls to voters right from your home.

You might even decide to have some good ice cream while you call . . . Think you can make it?

Yes, I'll sign up to make get-out-the-vote calls from home this week.

You can join a volunteer team that's using a combination of tried-and-true strategies and breakthrough tech innovations to turn out voters more effectively than in any other campaign MoveOn has ever run.

The polls say this election will come down to a few thousand votes in a state like Iowa, Colorado, or North Carolina. In other words, it'll come down to voter turnout.

I've never been good at losing.

That's why I'm asking you to join a volunteer team that's going to fight right down to the wire with MoveOn's great staff who will make sure that every minute you spend volunteering will matter—and matter big.

So scoop yourself up off the couch—or don't!—and sign up today to make get-out-the-vote calls right from the comfort of your home.

I've made getting big money out of politics my focus because I figure that everything else I care about—the environment, health care, jobs, education, and breaking the poverty cycle—is just DOA until we get a Congress that's working on behalf of all of the people, not just beholden to the wealthiest few.

I refuse to see the momentum all of us have built on this issue get squished on November 4. We just cannot let that happen.

If you join this Saturday or Sunday and you call for 100 minutes using MoveOn's automated dialing platform, I'm going to give you a token of my thanks—a "Not 2 B Used 4 Buying Elections" rubber stamp so that you can join the Stampede of Americans who are turning our paper currency into miniature billboards—each of which is seen by 900 people as it circulates.

It's like a petition on steroids, and it's about as grassroots as it gets—just like voter turnout.

This is a bring-it-on-home moment. Please help with this last push.

It's good to be working with you. Thanks for all you do.
