St. Louis County and deal with the police. They are unrepentant, and seem to have just killed another unarmed black teenager.
The Law is lawless.

(10,103 posts)They are, apparently, training for riots if the guy who shot Mike Brown is released by the Grand Jury. Are they determined to have riots?

Holder announces Ferguson probe, review of St. Louis County police practices

Attorney General Eric Holder Calls for Review of Police Tactics
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. on Wednesday called for a wide-ranging review of police tactics and training, speaking to dozens of mayors and police chiefs who had gathered here to discuss race relations and policing in the United States in the wake of protests in Ferguson, Mo.
The Justice Department is working with major police associations to conduct a broad review of policing tactics, techniques and training, Mr. Holder said. The review is intended to help the field swiftly confront emerging threats, better address persistent challenges, and thoroughly examine the latest tools and technologies to enhance the safety and the effectiveness of law enforcement.
He said he hoped the review would evaluate policing and provide direction on a scale not seen since President Lyndon B. Johnsons Commission on Law Enforcement was appointed in 1965.
Many American cities have been forced to examine their own law enforcement policies since August, when a white police officer in Ferguson, Darren Wilson, shot and killed Michael Brown, 18, in the street after a brief physical confrontation. Mr. Brown, who was black, was unarmed; Mr. Wilson, who is on paid leave from the Ferguson Police Department, has not been charged with a crime. The case is being presented to a St. Louis County grand jury.
The killing spurred weeks of demonstrations in Ferguson, where protesters told of decades of heavy-handed police tactics and racial profiling, particularly of young African-American men. The military-style police response to the protests, which included incendiary devices, armored vehicles and rubber bullets, was heavily criticized in the United States and abroad. Mr. Holder, who last month announced his plans to leave the Obama administration, has opened a civil rights investigation into Mr. Browns killing and of the Ferguson police.

(12,769 posts)let us know when something actually happens because of it. If anyone is late to the party, it is the Attorney General's office. How many have to be killed before something is done?

(3,208 posts)St. Louis city is not in a county at all. And it was a cop working for a private security firm, so the plot thickens!
But, I still agree with what you are saying and in fact, would extend this idea to many of the police departments throughout the country. Way, WAY too many stories coming out about how they are abusing their power.
