Peterson ordered arrested

Prosecutors in Montgomery County, Texas, have filed paperwork to have Adrian Peterson's bail revoked and the Minnesota Vikings running back re-arrested after he told a drug tester that he had recently smoked marijuana before taking a urinalysis test Wednesday.

According to the filing signed by Bill Delmore, the Assistant District Attorney for the state of Texas, Peterson admitted to the worker that he had "smoked a little weed" before the test. Not taking any illegal drugs are common terms to adhere to when out on bond.

Peterson has been free on $15,000 bond on a charge of felony child abuse. A trial has tentatively been set to begin Dec. 1.

There likely won't be any action Thursday on the prosecutors' filing, as the current judge in the Peterson case is scheduled for a recusal hearing.

Well that will put a crimp in his NFL salary as well. He is currently on the commissioners paid inactive list and I am betting dollars to donuts he has a prior positive drug test out there. If so he now gets a minimum 4 game suspension and loss of pay for those games. Who is advising this guy. He needs the money to support the multiple children he has.

From his tweets he seems barely literate and his behavior is inexcusable plus he is too stupid to know you can not smoke weed while on bail. If I did not already hate collegiate sports this would give me a good reason to.

you'd think they'd want this guy smoking weed. He might calm down a bit ...

I get that he's going through a stressful situation and so some pot might help him, but so would doing meditation and that won't get him arrested.
