Old Saying in Washington: If your not at the table, your on the menu

A fundamental reality of American politics. An extreme example is Ferguson, MO where whites have been ruling there because the black turnout has only been at 6% (this is changing thankfully.)

Mention this quote to people to highlight the importance of them voting.

Also, if all of America's citizens understood the importance of voting and did vote, the Republicans wouldn't have the power that they have had and they wouldn't have been able to wreck this country the way they have done within the past 30 years.
