I read this about this post that was on a FB post:
https://animoto.com/play/pYS28KmOGAa47oyP0UnpxA
It may have been created on a slower Internet connection, making it go much quicker on faster connections??

(37,364 posts)Gutted him. I'm gonna put that on my FB page to help it along and I don't even live in KY.

(23,946 posts)as angry in 2014, for all the right reasons.
Being champions of reason, facts and science, voters like minded should be outraged at the fairy tales, lies and smears of the rudderless and policy free GOP and kin.
Be mad, then vote them out in anger.

(6,997 posts)Heart's in the right place, but info goes by too fast to have any initial or lasting impact. Too many slides. I started to zero in on how annoying the dramatic music became.
You've got to patiently tee them up with their own words, then wack them with their deeds.

(17,912 posts)...On #3, juvenile possibly, but you have to admit their is a striking resemblance. On #2, I don't believe so. It gives anyone in KY an interesting view of scum sucker's record. Facts that are hard to ignore and may sway those still debating who to vote for. On #1, I agree with you.
LuvLoogie
(6,997 posts)who but the choir would glean the message? It's red meat for sure.

(57,936 posts)But otherwise good. The point now is to get your supporters to get out and vote.
So preaching to the choire is fine.
Black lung is not a juvenile topic. It is serious business.
Turtle mockery -- needed at this point. This guy just tucks his head inside his collar and ignores the needs of the nation and of Kentucky.

Great Internet ad. These are not meant to be totally read - it is the fast imagery that draws the watchers subconscious out. Constant repetition of the main theme reinforced by flashing images.

(6,323 posts)Have you ever experienced clicking on a link with 150 plus reply's only to open up html code cause that's happening to me. Maybe I should uninstall and re-install Chrome.
Sometimes I right click it and open it in another window. I used to blame it on my 12 year old computer.... Can't do that now. It finally died.

Mitch has got to go, but don't deceive yourself by thinking that Grimes is anything but a DINO.

(228 posts)Not everyone is a speed reader. The trap in creating this type of message is you fall in love with everything and try to stuff it all in. The same rule applies in writing and film: edit, edit, edit. Think I'm wrong? Show this to someone just one time and ask them how many reasons they can remember why turtle is a bad guy. And please don't tell me people will press stop-play to read each message.
Could have been great. Now it's just pretty good. I hope they do more of them.

(2,060 posts)I couldn't make heads or tails out of this video because it was going too fast to read. The irritation with the ad is not enough to make me like MM but it did leave me kind of dazed enough that I couldn't remember anything it said. Glad I don't live in Kentucky. Can you imagine a person with normal or slow to normal reading speed reading this ad?
mobeau69
(11,143 posts)When it comes to spots like this, less is always more. There's way too much information for one ad.

(111,085 posts)If indeed, that is the case?

(111,085 posts)The Internet connections in Kentucky are very slow. The computer you are on probably goes much quicker than anything in Kentucky? This has been a problem for several years. Hopefully, they will get faster Internet before too long?

SmittynMo
(3,544 posts)We need to take this guy down, big time. I'm sure we can come up with more stuff too. And I agree, we need more of this in other states. Florida and Wisconsin are a good place to start.
On edit: Add Texas too.
Talk about apathy here! Kasich is going to run away with another term. I don't see any political action here at all. He has a huge margin over his opponent. It's disgusting.

(111,085 posts)I don't think she has hurt herself much at all. It was a set-up. If she had answered the way Mitch and the Repubs had expected her to answer, it would have been much more damaging, in my opinion.
The voters of Kentucky are pretty savvy once they've had time to analyze the situation. They know she did not vote for Mitt Romney or John McCain. Mitch McConnell knew that also. The reporters from the Courier-Journal knew it also. They knew she voted for the Democrat over those two Bozos. So why did they ask her the question? They tried to trap her and she is just too damn smart for them.
Mister Nightowl
(396 posts)And I'd love to see Grimes win. But if there's one thing I remember about Bluegrassers, it's this: They're used to politicians lying to them, but are decidedly insulted when a politician lies to them stupidly.
I hope the hell I'm wrong about this!

(19,926 posts)Yes, the slides go by way too fast. I had to pause to read them.
And FYI, no, connection speed has nothing to do with that. That's simply how the video was made. A lot of times people forget how long it takes to read something and process it because their mind knows exactly what it says. It's a shame it got put out like this.
TheKentuckian
(25,023 posts)the messages can be digested.
There is an important balance between showing a putrid litany and clarity of message that has to reached with this kind of thing.
