Nice response to Christie 's keynote address at the NJ NAACP Convention

http://www.theroot.com/articles/politics/2014/10/chris_christie_keynotes_nj_naacp_convention.html
<snip>

Under Christie, New Jersey is being left behind as the rest of the nation recovers from the economic crisis. Our state has the nation’s fourth-highest foreclosure rate. A study by Legal Services of New Jersey found that nearly a third of New Jerseyans live in poverty, including 780,000 children; and that black and and Latino New Jerseyans had poverty rates three times higher than white New Jerseyans.

In 2013, New Jersey’s poverty rate increased for the sixth straight year, one of just three states in which the poverty rate rose, and we’re seeing the highest poverty rate in New Jersey in more than 50 years.

The burden of economic hardship is being borne by those least able to afford it. Christie refused to take advantage of an additional $172 million in potential federal funding for SNAP benefits, and vetoed legislation to increase the state’s minimum wage, which disproportionately affect people of color. Voters had to raise the wage via ballot measure, which passed by more than 20 points despite Christie’s opposition.

While Christie has distributed $4 billion in corporate tax incentives and limited property tax increases for individuals earning more than $150,000 annually, lower-income and middle-class families have seen property taxes that are already the highest in the nation increase by 20 percent under Christie. Christie effectively raised taxes on the working poor by cutting the state’s Earned Income Tax Credit. He also slashed a billion in direct state aid to schools, gutting education funding that is so important to the African-American community.

Fugg you Christie - can't wait for Fishman to catch this scumbag!

Or maybe it was just a straight out mob-style squeeze- "You had better put me on as keynote if you know what's good for you..."

Soon he will be calling appraisers to evaluate the artistic works he's found while plundering the government institutions of NJ. But he best not cut off their water supply. It's going to take a high PSI to wash his slime downriver.

He would have been brought up on charges for something - anything - by now.

I'm hoping he runs for President -that will force him to step down . . . and he won't get a nod from either the TEAHadists or the Moderate Republicans in Iowa or NH.

So essentially -we'll be able to get rid of him if he runs.

His track records of being a governor of stiff-assed state won't translate his so called leadership to the nationwide levels. Christie is bully that he has earned himself as #1 public enemy of teachers and professors. He is very unpopular with college students (polls in most of universities has shown that less than 10% would vote for him).

Christie's pursue of presidency is nothing but pipe dream for himself and pro-bully wife of his.

Remember in 2012 the brouhaha about him having to step down if he ran?

Same thing. I can't remember the specific law but we have one in NJ that requires that.

He'd lose - but if he runs . . . we can get rid of him.

It's the ONLY way.

It won't be pretty. I guaran-damn-tee that someone would insult Christie for being fattest guy to run for a Republican ticket.

The guy just refused to go away. No major Republican wanted to run against Obama because they knew their racist base would fling their crap and they'd be tarred with the backsplash. Romney didn't care. "White Supremacy" had nothing on his sense of superiority.

So, just like the party guest that refuses to take a hint, they ran him just to label him a "loser" so they could make him to go awa,....Huh?

What do you mean he's still hanging around outside?

Wo ho ho ho! Now whooooooooooooo is a race hustler?

If you go to NJ 12 (t.v. station) you should be able to catch loops of his speech. Seriously - since when do they give a f*ck about us?

That's shady and sketchy and we know damn well what the Koch Brother's are.

They will use that money to force libertarian economic policy down the throats of the HBCU students.
