Oklahoma: Be careful this afternoon and tonight. More severe storms ahead.

"We'll get a break in the precipitation until around the noon hour when some wrap-around moisture will move back into southern Kansas and northern Oklahoma producing some rainfall this afternoon into early evening," Crone said in his weather blog.

High winds are expected to accompany the rainfall.

"A wind advisory is going to be required for some locations in northern Oklahoma," Crone said. The powerful squall line moved across Oklahoma overnight Monday, leaving some businesses and homes temporarily without power, especially in the 41st and Yale shopping corridor.

Hurricane force winds ripped through several small towns across Southwest Oklahoma overnight with some of the most severe damage we've seen is from Mountain Park, Oklahoma.

It got pretty spooky in Tulsa last night, but this is the first I read about hurricane force winds.

rains here in Houston. After it clears out we are looking at a pretty decent week (if the mosquitoes don't eat us all that is).

the worst for Houston - we still have the intense heat and humidity along with potential hurricanes or forest fires depending upon our year. Mosquitoes attacked this year - came in off the coast and starting swarming the southern coastal areas. Where I live used to be rice fields (swampy) and the county actually does come out and spray them from planes/trucks because they get so bad.

As you can imagine I am praying for a few very cold nights soon to give us a break! Hope it's not too bad of a storm for y'all up there.
