"We'll get a break in the precipitation until around the noon hour when some wrap-around moisture will move back into southern Kansas and northern Oklahoma producing some rainfall this afternoon into early evening," Crone said in his weather blog.
High winds are expected to accompany the rainfall.

Hurricane force winds ripped through several small towns across Southwest Oklahoma overnight with some of the most severe damage we've seen is from Mountain Park, Oklahoma.

(32,015 posts)the worst for Houston - we still have the intense heat and humidity along with potential hurricanes or forest fires depending upon our year. Mosquitoes attacked this year - came in off the coast and starting swarming the southern coastal areas. Where I live used to be rice fields (swampy) and the county actually does come out and spray them from planes/trucks because they get so bad.
As you can imagine I am praying for a few very cold nights soon to give us a break! Hope it's not too bad of a storm for y'all up there.
