Anti-IS protesters blocked M4 Severn Crossing causing long delays for motorists travelling into Wales

Anti-IS protesters blocked the M4 Severn Crossing and caused long delays for motorists travelling westbound into Wales this afternoon.
A small number of demonstrators caused tail backs as they protested in the middle westbound lane of the Severn Crossing on Sunday, starting at about 5pm.
Gwent Police said the protest was moved to a safe area after about 20 minutes and was dispersed completely just under two hours later.
The group were Iraqi Kurds protesting against Islamic State and were moved to a safe position at the side of the toll booths after blocking the carriageway.
At the time, a Gwent Police spokesman said they were working with organisers and protesters - who had around 10 vehicles - and partner agencies "to facilitate a peaceful and safe gathering to the side of the toll booths on the Second Severn Crossing".
