However, in the '90's , I was pretty involved in CO politics. Ben Nighthorse Campbell was running against Dick Lamm, a well-known progressive. I thought he was sort of a "limosine liberal". Nighthorse had worked in the fields as a migrant worker. He was more of a blue-collar Democrat. Or so I thought. I even had a gathering at my house to raise campaign funds for him. He won. Then he switched to the Republican Party..
