Class war my ass - The Richest 1% of people own nearly half of global wealth, says report

http://www.theguardian.com/business/2014/oct/14/richest-1percent-half-global-wealth-credit-suisse-report
<snip>
The richest 1% of the world’s population are getting wealthier, owning more than 48% of global wealth, according to a report published on Tuesday which warned growing inequality could be a trigger for recession.

“Taken together, the bottom half of the global population own less than 1% of total wealth. In sharp contrast, the richest decile hold 87% of the world’s wealth, and the top percentile alone account for 48.2% of global assets,” said the annual report, now in its fifth year.

The report, which calculates that total global wealth has grown to a new record – $263tn, more than twice the $117tn calculated for 2000 – found that the UK was the only country in the G7 to have recorded rising inequality in the 21st century.

Its findings were seized upon by anti-poverty campaigners Oxfam which published research at the start of the year showing that the richest 85 people across the globe share a combined wealth of £1tn, as much as the poorest 3.5 billion of the world’s population.

The Class War is certainly raging, and the rich are annihilating the rest of us, unlike the television and radio representation. Of course, on the rich man's media, it's always viewed as the evil poor, or some terribly liberal television announcer suggesting the rich might pay a wee bit more in taxes, though they'd still be left with so much more than the rest of us it might leave us weeping. Sadly, people are so bad with math, a lot of them don't even understand how much more they have, and whine, yes, cry along with the rich talking heads, about the plight of those downtrodden moneyed Magnates, whose only crime is living in opulence. Pity the rich, for they have to pay taxes, well, a little bit. Quite a lot less than the rest of us, but the number is more, they can assure you of that!

controlled, as well as the results. Those backed by $$$$$ come to prominence and the rest are pushed to the background. Those backed with propaganda often win. The whole system is rigged, but many IMO still don't get what is going on, especially with the endless non-stop nauseating TV ads for politicians. All one need do is briefly look at the Koch Brother's investments in advertising.

Change comes, but that change is generally controlled to benefit the monied with great assets and money. It is not going to end well for humanity IMO, because we have a multitude of misdirected priorities..

I have never been so happy as when the Obamas walked Bush to his helicopter and he actually left town. But as we've found out the damage was already done.

..."Class warfare," (since Reagan at least, if not the beginning of effing time,) they have been waging it against the populace, and indeed the world. Remember your sociopathic manual: it's just what they do. Listen, I'm warning everyone, if you have a friend or associate who accuses you of something which you know to your core is untrue, you are in the presence of one of these heartless sociopaths. They're all a bunch of whining thieves.

how "their" time will come. yet, here we are STILL in it, and the rich are getting richer and we still do what? Talk about it. No action, no pitchforks and torches, nothing.

It grows tiresome to read this over and over and over. When will enough be enough?

When will we burn their castles and make them pay with their very lives like many today pay with theirs so that the rich can have a bigger house or a new yacht?

The time for talk is over, the time for retribution SHOULD be at hand.
