Fingers crossed.
I think Tater and Moonpie regard me as part of the spoils of war. They are battling all over the apartment for supremacy.

There's still polystyrene foam beads blowing around this planet from a dog beanbag chair encounter that happened in our family forty years ago...

I know Tater would love to shred it. I am not going to leave it out for them to do with as they please when they please.

I love your cats. Of course they have to have the power struggle before the rough weather hits. Cat priorities and all. Cat stuff.

I bought it on sale at "Ollies." Shop around using 'cat furniture' and see what you can find in your area.

Do they acknowledge you as a loved one, or are you just that person that brings them food so they don't have to do anything?

I have one that mourns my absence when I'm not there (roommates tell me she walks around meowing sadly when I leave). Same cat must always be near me when I'm home.

My other cat gets very impatient at bed time cause she loves to cuddle and be loved on when it's bed time.

So they appreciate me for more than food.

They are much better behaved than the Palins. They could give them lessons in etiquette.
