Go do volunteer work with ebola patients. There should be no risk if funding is sufficient for research and protective gear."

They are clearly massively underfunded in all areas.

Disband the freaking military and spend our tax dollars on saving lives instead of destroying them.

Like everything else Republicans say, it has no facts or anything else to support it.

Also, interesting how a Texas for-profit hospital and a state with many uninsured (refused to do ACA)is at the apex of the Ebola issue. Even if CDC had money, what could it do?

I would ask
1) if the republican knows what the CDC budget is
2) what is it compared to, say 10 years ago
3) if they know what the CDC actually does
4) if they can give an example of a CDC core mission or project, along with their proposed budget and a real justification that their budget will get the job done.

Absent a demonstration that the person can intelligently address these questions, I'd say they were talking out of their ass.

They have posted credible links to show that the CDC was given $300 mil more than the president requested this year.
