Do I say it here or in the political area.....I'M DONE.....CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE....

how bad does it have to be before we just say suck it. I'm done.....can't watch ANY political shows anymore, even local shows.... it's 2014 election 24/7. I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE. All the advertisements. I'm going on cable trash shows from now until November 5th. Sorry, just can't handle anything about the election.

It is endless. 2012 was horrible and painfully long, and early indicators are that 2016 will be worse. I won't make it all the way through without a break/news black out. I already do not watch tv news and just can't read certain things anymore. It is crazy-making.

And I'm sure it's now their new business model. What network would stand up to a system that is giving their competitors such unprecedented revenue?

I'm not sure what the rules are on how that PAC money gets spent, but we have seen examples of how members of the media can be bought, or ghost-written. We've seen product placements designed to look like "local news broadcasts", so why not political ads too?

That's my long version of saying TURN IT OFF!

....ebola's effect on the human body....I turned to American Pickers, which I love anyway, and last night's recorded show about Gates' geneology research about people...I may see what Lawrence has to say. I can't stand any morning shows on TV - hate Morning Joe and the other network wastes of time.... I always start my day by chuckling with my recorded shows of Jon Stewart and the genius Colbert. I've decided All Politics All the Time is not healthy!

what to think or what to be afraid of. I can think for myself and make those decisions for myself thank you. If people spent half the time they watch tv news doing actual research on the internet, in libraries, reading a wide variety of books, newspapers, and magazines they wouldn't need someone on tv telling them what to think.

Many of us barely watch traditional broadcast TV (I know I RARELY do). The D's target demographic is far less likely to see the ads than cranky old luddite GOP voters. IMO, the Dems need to to rethink spending massive amounts of money on TV ads. The return on investment is declining very rapidly.

I'm waiting to vote and that's it. I have been exploring the talent of people in the world on YouTube. So much richer than the mishmash of pop music peddled by the entertainment industry here. Lots of talented people out there who know more than one or two songs or are trying to be Beyonce or Beiber.
