Is our children learning?
USA!
Students on a Pennsylvania soccer team are facing discipline for taunting a West African student on the opposing team with chants of ebola! The soccer teams for both Nazareth Area High School and Northampton Area High School faced off last week, and players on the latter decided to pick on this 16-year-old boy.
His legal guardian Edward Bachert told The Morning Call that these students also shouted racial epithets at him. The Northampton superintendent assured earlier this week that they would be conducting an investigation into the matter, and Nazareth was conducting its own investigation as well.
The unidentified 16-year-old is from Guinea and was taken in by Bachert two years ago. The paper received a letter from someone who claimed the other team shouted at this black student that they hope he contracts Ebola.

(146,286 posts)The team that did that should be suspended from any further play for the entire season. In fact, the coach of that team should do it, and forfeit the rest of the games and kick offending players off the squat immediately.
