According to Masri, he was taken into an interrogation room and told to give an official statement about spitting at the officer.

“I just remained silent,” he recounted. “Then they said that there was a video of me doing it, so I asked to see my lawyer. But they didn’t even let me contact my lawyer. So I said, ‘What are y’all really bringing me in here for? You got me here for a reason. So come out with it.’”

It was then that the officers told Masri that the third degree assault charge would be taken under advisement, or put on hold, in exchange for information about protesters.

“They wanted me to put names to faces on protesters and to let them know where we be going,” recalled Masri. “It’s like extortion. I have to snitch on my friends. If I don’t snitch on my friends, they’ll re-arrest me on the [third degree assault] charge.]

What they are doing to these protestors is disgusting.

3. Yep, who would have thought that our taxpayer dollars would

be used against us? But we are also to blame because we have allowed these tactics all in the name of protecting ourselves. Even some people on DU don't seem to realize that these same tactics can and will be used against them when the opportunity arises. Yet, Ebola scares them to death.

And these are quite well known ones. We've seen plenty of people snatched and grabbed for no apparent reason but not telling if they were streaming. Actually, some of BelaEiko's streamers were arrested too. Not sure what happened there but do know the cops let her know they were watching her stream.

6. I am sure the cops were filming. We should get to see their

videos. Done at tax payer expense.

7. Funny how none of their filming has been able to repudiate these events,

My thoughts run along the line of Ferguson PD making gross profits off releasing requested copies... The PD dies not serve the community.

11. They are government records created at taxpayer expense,

they "belong" to the taxpayers. They are not Copyrightable but they should be on an authoritative site with open access to all to prevent modification.

The livestreams OTH are an individuals work product and should be Copyrighted so the individual can be credited and reimbursed for their work if they are retransmitted or used as evidence in a trial or for other purposes.

12. What triggered this thought of profitable sale of said videos...

News media had to pay an unrealistic fee for a video in Ferguson back in August....if I recall correctly. Were I live, Dayton Ohio, we also had a shooting at our Walmart store...The John Crawford case on August 5 the, so I could be confusing my events of outrage.

13. The John Crawford videos were from the store surveillance

cameras so they would typically belong to Walmart. Ferguson could charge a reasonable fee to obtain the videos and copy them, however if they were automatically uploaded to the cloud that would not be necessary.

5. And, thank goodness there have been National Legal Guild members

present to watch and help those that do end up getting arrested. And the Live Stream videos are great evidence.
