Bob Beauprez just lost the governor's race in Colorado.

He wants to make pot illegal again.

Bob Beauprez Admits He Wants To Re-Instate Marijuana Prohibition In Colorado

A conservative is someone who just can't rest if someone, somewhere, is having some fun.

Too many people are smoking pot legally in Colorado, and Tea Party darling Bob Beauprez wants to put a stop to it if he's voted into office. (I had previously speculated on Beauprez's views in an earlier article, and it appear I was on the mark!) Although it's not clear how Beauprez would try to circumvent the state constitutional amendment that legalized marijuana for recreational use, he has let voters know in no uncertain terms that repeal is on his agenda.

but the governor has no control over that. the amendment has to be 1) declared unconstitutional by the courts, 2) overturned by voters or 3) overturned by a super majority of both chambers of the state leg. and, honestly, i don't see any of those happening right now.

hick said during a debate that it was "reckless" for us to legalize marijuana and there were people saying he lost the election over that.

they're both idiots on this topic but i'm skeptical as to how much effect it's going to have on the vote here. i'm hoping people just see beuprez for the slimeball that he is.

you'd think they'd be happy with the successful roll out, crime down, domestic abuse and all that tax money going to wards schools.

Both idiots - I remember when the vote results came in at The Marriott downtown and they were all huddled together, Bennett, Udall, Hick, Hancock looking like the world just ended. The rest of the room erupted in cheers...
