Petition to CNN: Please Reconsider Cancelling Jane-Valez Mitchell's Show

?1413477288

Jane Velez Mitchell is a loud voice for Human and Animal rights. Taking her off the air would be a grave disservice to both! Please reconsider your decision and leave Jane's show on HLN.

Jane Velez Mitchell is an award winning Journalist who has made it her mission to expose ills in our society today. She has covered stories from child-sexual abuse to the Taiji Dolphin slaughters, from murder victims to dog fights.

Jane is a voice that seeks and demands truth about every topic in our country and around the world.

By canceling the Jane Velez Mitchell show you are taking a voice away from the voiceless. You are muting an advocate that fights. CNN/HLN you are wrong about this decision. Please hear our voice and give JVM back hers.

It's suppoed to give you up to the minute news, but seems to focus on exposes and scandals.

They are never going to cancel Nancy Grace's show. she is the number one show for the network by far. They would lose the network if they cancel her show. The way networks works is ratings. If a show does not get ratings, it gets canceled. It is a shame that networks were charities but they aren't and need to make money. A show that does not have viewers like Jane-Valez Mitchell's show would be cancelled on any network.

That is why it was cancelled. Perhaps asking CSPAN to let her have a show is a better option. It would be free for CSPAN, but she can express herself to those who are interested in a show with her.

She is extremely popular among people who care about animals and are true crime buffs. Within minutes of her cancellation being posted on fb the petition I posted went up.

But who is going to pay for the show? The advertisers won't with that low amount of devoted viewers. The network must make money. They aren't with her show.

You have a long road ahead. One thing the fans of Jerico did when CBS cancelled their show was sent the network a million pounds of nuts. For "Are you nuts"? It worked and they changed their minds. Worth a shot.
